Applications for Visual Arts segment are accepted in the following sub-disciplines:

  • Graphics

  • Paintings

  • Drawings

  • Applied art (Ceramics / Sculpture / Barrielef etc.)

  • Traditional/Folk art

  • Tekstil form/ Printmaking etc

* The work must be your own, free of any other copy right claims​

Awards

  • GRAND PACIFIC AWARD and cash prize (only one award across all categories and ages)

  • Outstanding | Platinum award and certificate

  • 1st prize  | Golden award and certificate

  • 2nd prize | Silver award and certificate

  • 3rd prize  | Bronze award and certificate

​

  • Special Award for Teachers and certificates of recognition

​

# All participants will be awarded a Participation Certificate

General Rules

  • Incomplete applications (including failure to pay the application fee) will not be processed

  • Application fee is not refundable

  • Adjudicator's panel decision is final and cannot be appealed. A summary/commentary from the panel can be provided upon request (please note these will be provided only in English)

  • Multiple winners can be chosen in each of the groups, except Grand Pacific Award

  • Participants agree and authorize the organizers to use their image for any publicity activity

Submission Requirements

  1. Up to 3 photos can be submitted with each application

  2. Images must be in JPEG or PNG format, sized between 1.5-5MB for entry. A full resolution image will be required should your image win first prize. No signature, no logos, no copyright or watermark text should appear on images

  3. Submitted images can be used to enter other competitions; there is no exclusivity rights

  4. Images can be manipulated, however, the manipulation must be clearly outlined within the image description

  5. All images must be submitted online, as part of the application form. Unfortunately, we can not accept CD/Book or other hard-copy formats

  6. Images taken by phones are accepted as long as they are not smaller than 1.5MB in size.

  7. Any image submitted to the competition may be used by the Grand Pacific Festival of Arts, for the sole purpose of promoting the festival and the photographers themselves.

Evaluation Criteria

Your performance wiill be assessed based on the following general criterias. ​

  1. The technique of execution;

  2. Quality of execution;

  3. The originality of creative idea and decision;

  4. Degree of complexity

  5. The integrity of idea and form

  6. Presentation of the artwork​

​

* The panel of adjudicators reserves the right to include assessment of other criterias not mentioned above

How to apply

To apply for the competition participants must submit

​

  1. A completed online application form

  2. A copy of ID confirming the date of birth and full name

  3. A photo/video material uploaded online

  4. A Resume / CV / Biography (optional)

  5. An application fee

  6. A photo/image of the participant

​

IMPORTANT

  • Last day for submitting applications is on 30 April 2022

  • Winners will be announced on our website on 5 June 2022

  • Please note that the participant retains 100% of the image/recording rights
